Every day we are far removed from the calming effects of nature. Often a visit to a wild Monarch butterfly habitat or a live butterfly conservatory is a comforting and a life transforming experience.
Watching the fascinating emergence of a butterfly from the chrysalis, the very womb of nature, is a miracle which can bring us back to the source of creation. Scientists believe the first butterfly was a moth like insect approximately 200 million years old.
The Daniel Boone Butterfly Conservatory is a live tropical butterfly conservatory project and is a non-profit 501-3c corporation founded in 1997 which is dedicated by the founders to give hope and comfort through the significance of the butterfly and the healing beauty of nature to many who are struggling to find peace in circumstances which seem beyond human endurance. Since the Bronze Age the Butterfly with two separate lives has been and continues to be a symbol of peace, hope and spiritual renewal to mankind.
